Scott Raskin
CEO
Scott Raskin is Chief Executive Officer of Mindjet. As a creative business executive with more than 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, Scott is strengthening Mindjet´s position as the leading maker of software and on-line services that enable people to visually organize, communicate and act on their ideas.
Scott´s operational expertise, focus on innovative products, and value-added partner initiatives are propelling rapid growth in Mindjet´s increasingly connected and passionate user community. Mindjet´s geographic expansion and product diversification, under Scott´s tenure, has made visual thinking and planning accessible to a much wider audience. Mindjet has sold more than one million global licenses to date.
Scott came to Mindjet after 5 years at Telelogic, where he served Chief Operating Officer. At Telelogic, Scott led the company through several strategic acquisitions and extensive organic growth with more than 1,200 employees and operations in more than 30 countries. Under Scott´s leadership, Telelogic transformed from a Requirements Management and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) company to became the leading global provider of software and services for Enterprise Lifecycle Management (ELM). Recognizing Telelogic´s phenomenal growth and value proposition, International Business Machines (IBM), acquired the company in April 2008 for $845 million.
Before joining Telelogic, Scott held senior marketing, sales and business management roles at Nexgenix, Bachman Information Systems and MAI Basic Four.
David Oppenheimer
CFO
David Oppenheimer brings over 15 years of executive financial leadership to Mindjet, having led the finance and administrative functions at several technology companies. David has played a key role in several M&A transactions, piloted a successful IPO, worked extensively with Wall Street and the investor community, and implemented Sarbox as a public company CFO. Prior to Mindjet, David served executive posts as CFO of Hands-On Mobile, a mobile content company, CFO of Digital Impact, an internet marketing company, Vice President, Finance at Autodesk, CFO of the Aerospace Services and the Electronic Material business units at AlliedSignal (currently known as Honeywell), and Division Controller at United Airlines. David holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, and an MBA from the University of California-Berkeley.
Mary Gilbert
Vice President of Marketing
Mary Gilbert oversees all aspects of Mindjet global marketing. Gilbert comes to Mindjet from advertising giant McCann Worldgroup where she successfully helped transform the San Francisco operation from a traditional advertising shop to a multi-dimensional integrated agency with global strategic, digital and analytics services. Mary also led the McCann relationship with Microsoft’s US subsidiary. She was responsible for strategic leadership of integrated marketing communications for Microsoft, setting overall strategic priorities and account direction, and helping unify communications across all global markets.
Mary brings a keen marketing focus developed over her 19-year career of building integrated marketing, database and digital marketing capabilities for companies such as AOL, Cisco, 3Com, Microsoft, Sun and Oracle. She was a founder of Miller/Huber Relationship Marketing, which became a leading West Coast technology marketing services firm. She has also held management positions at file sharing service provider Driveway.com and direct marketing services agency Cohn & Wells.
Neil Mendelson
Vice President of Products
Neil Mendelson is responsible for managing all current and future Mindjet products and technologies. Possessing an uncanny ability to foresee areas of growth, Mendelson brings more than 20 years of experience creating and seeding product categories and building business. He joins Mindjet from Business Objects, where he was responsible for a $1 billion product portfolio, led the company’s entry into the mid-market and led development of its first software-as-a-service offerings. Mendelson previously spent 17 years at Oracle. He served as vice president of product management and product marketing and was responsible for the company’s business intelligence and data warehousing products, which grew into a $2 billion business under his leadership. Mendelson has logged more than 2 million miles managing global teams in India, Japan, France, US, Canada, the Netherlands and Ireland.
Michael Pricer
Vice President of Sales & Service, Americas
Michael leads Mindjet Americas Sales. His team represents direct, channel, inside sales, field marketing and services. At Mindjet, Michael has been developing and implementing effective value-based sales programs for all of America Sales. The results have produced 50% growth, acquisition of some of the largest customers at Mindjet and a more aligned approach to servicing Mindjet customers. Prior to Mindjet, he was the General Motors Global Sales lead for BearingPoint, a global management and technology consulting company that provides strategic consulting, application services, technology solutions and managed services. In his six-year tenure at BearingPoint, Michael consistently produced significant sales growth in the Automotive, Financial Services, Consumer Product Goods and Hi-Tech industries. Michael's experience in linking BearingPoint solutions to "Enterprise Business" needs was key to BearingPoint's success and growth. This approach increased deal size and improved closure rates significantly. Michael has also held sales leadership positions at Nexgenix, a CRM and ERP provider, and Compuware Corporation, a recognized leader in the enterprise software and IT services industry.
Uwe Richter
Vice President of EMEA
(Europe – Middle East – Africa)
Uwe Richter is in charge of Mindjet’s EMEA organization as of November 1, 2007 – for the operational day-to-day business as well as for the strategic positioning.
Uwe Richter brings 19 years of experience in sales and management functions at leading Business Intelligence and Performance Management vendors to Mindjet. Prior to Mindjet he managed the CPM Business Unit in EMEA at Infor Global Solutions with a total of 250 employees. From 1989 to mid 2006 he was instrumental in establishing Cognos in Germany, where he drove growth in his last five years as Area VP Central and Eastern Europe.
Richter will focus on expanding Mindjet’s sales channels and on driving revenue growth in the European top tier markets.
Richter graduated 1988 in Electrical Engineering at the Universities of Dortmund and Bochum.
Jon Wong
Vice President of eCommerce,
Distribution and Business Operations
Jon Wong brings nearly 20 years of online sales, business development and product management acumen to Mindjet. Most recently, Jon served as Vice President of North American Consumer Sales for McAfee, Inc. During an 11-year career at the company, he pioneered selling software over the Web, including building the McAfee Store and helping launch McAfee.com, one of the largest online subscription services in the consumer security space. These eCommerce initiatives laid the foundation for McAfee's revenue and subscriber growth. Jon also led McAfee's Retail Channel Sales and Marketing teams. Earlier in his career, Jon was product line manager at Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA), managing the company's award-winning ACCPAC desktop accounting software. Prior to CA, Jon was a certified public accountant at Laventhol & Horwath.
Ken Hirschman
Vice President & General Counsel
Ken Hirschman brings 15 years of legal experience to Mindjet, having created, built and managed the legal functions of multiple Bay Area technology companies. In addition, Ken has cross-trained in several capacities during his career, spearheading business development, corporate development, compliance, lobbying and other strategic initiatives while also overseeing legal matters. Prior to Mindjet, Ken served as Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel of Goodmail Systems, an email certification company. Before Goodmail, Ken served as Vice President and General Counsel of Digital Impact, an internet marketing company, from the company’s initial public offering through its sale in 2005 following the company’s successful defense of a hostile tender offer. Prior to that, Ken worked on initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions in the New York and Menlo Park offices of the international law firm Shearman & Sterling. Ken holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Cornell Law School.
