MindManager Web Spring Update: Customer Perspectives

Alan Yoshioka is an avid user of MindManager who frequently writes about his Mindjet experiences in his blog, Mobile Musings. Alan recently took MindManager Web for a spin and wrote the following in his review, MindManager Web could be The Answer:

"I need to tell you this really ROCKS"

"It has the feel of opening a desktop app and the interface is really slick"

"You can virtually create anything you could do on the desktop in your browser"

Here are the highlights that got Alan so excited:

  • Launch Web Conferences: This may be the most exciting update! Now you can email anyone and invite them into a web conference to collaborate on maps and other content, deliver presentations, share your desktop and more…
  • New Shortcut Keys: Close to 40 new shortcut keys including everything from adding new topic (INS key), zooming in & out, adding boundaries, formatting topic text, opening and closing notes, and accessing the task panels.
  • Save Maps Locally: Mapping in the cloud is cool, but we heard your requests and delivered the ability to store MindManager Web maps locally and share them with other all other MindManager users (Web, Windows or Mac).
  • Edit and Replace Documents: MindManager Web isn’t only about mapping. You can store and share any type of file with people in your account in your secure workspaces. Previously only MindManager 8 users were able to update files in workspaces. Now, this capability has been extended to remote MindManager Web users too.
  • For more details on this release, here are the release notes.

More Customer Feedback: Alan wasn’t the only person excited, here’s some additional feedback from other MindManager users…Dr. Brian Friedlander who writes the Assistive Technology blog added the following comments in his post, Revisiting MindManager Web:

  • It was a great feeling being able to access my mind map from the web and to be able to format it just the way that I needed to.
  • …MindManager Web is very responsive and gives you all of the essential tools that you need to get the job done.

Mind mapping expert and blogger Chuck Frey also covered the update in the MindMapping Software Blog post, MindManager Web gets an Upgrade where he shared that he was very pleased with how these keyboard shortcuts give this web application a very desktop software-like feel.
