Senior Interaction Designer

Overview:

Mindjet (www.mindjet.com) is looking for a Senior Interaction Designer for our Design and User Experience Team to help build more world-class tools for visual collaboration. As Senior Interaction Designer, you'll have primary responsibility for the design of specific products within Mindjet's growing portfolio. You'll spend most of your time creating and documenting product designs based on requirements, use case analysis, user research, prototyping, internal and external review, and your own superb design sense. You'll use appropriate research and design tools, such as contextual inquiry, personas, usability testing, surveys, expert review, etc. You'll keep design documentation current to support implementation teams.

A qualified candidate would have strong experience with most of the following: Design for Web, Windows, & Mac, Agile product development, frequent release schedules, user research methodologies, interpretation of analytic data and localized products.

This is not a graphic art position. You will have support for graphics. This is not specifically a research or usability testing position, though you'll spend a fair amount of time on those activities. It is 3-month contract with some potential for long term to be determined at end of the 3 month assignment.

This role requires daily physical presence at Mindjet's headquarters in San Francisco along the scenic Embarcadero waterfront, within Levi Plaza, a short walk from the Ferry Building and Coit Tower.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to product requirements definition via user research, prototyping, usability testing, usage analysis, and user feedback.
  • Translate requirements into design specifications for engineering, QA, and documentation teams.
  • Closely monitor implementation and continue design work as needed through release, and beyond.
  • Drive successful end-to-end user experiences and make creative well reasoned design decisions.
  • Help generate corporate design standards and processes as well as champion user-centered design.
  • Maintain relentless attention to detail while handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Maintain positive engagement grace under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in commercial product development, significantly in Agile environments and rapid release cycles.
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent results on tight schedules.
  • Major web technologies such as XML, HTML, Flash, AJAX.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with social networking and collaboration trends as applied to the corporate desktop.

Corporate Sales Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Call on (VP/CXO) senior level executives and achieve new account penetration into SMB organizations (1–5000 employee companies).
  • Manage complex sales cycle from lead-to-close and cultivate higher awareness of industry trends and competitive threats.
  • Acquire product mastery and deliver on line product demos via web-based presentations and technologies.
  • Provide regular feedback about sales cycle, customer experience and needs, and marketing programs.

Sales Strategy Manager

Overview:

The Sales Strategy Manager will play a critical role in the Mindjet Sales organization. The selected candidate will be directly responsible for policies and procedures, process alignment, operational metrics, business analysis, and driving process improvements required to meet worldwide sales objectives.

Identifying and reporting on key indicators of sales performance and market opportunity, using those findings to set the strategic agenda for the sales group, and presenting recommendations to senior leaders. Projects will include business planning, market segmentation and coverage optimization, compensation plan design, and ongoing performance measurement.

The successful candidate will possess a passion for creating scalable, repeatable process, and innovative analysis, and the wherewithal to develop findings and recommendations that drive productive improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of business performance required to inform executive decisions on a daily basis
  • Create and productize the analytics required to drive improvements in our sales coverage model
  • Deliver actionable strategic insights and recommendations based on detailed analysis
  • Identify, synthesize and interpret key sales metrics with focus on trends and patterns and help set well-reasoned targets
  • Assist in the design and implementation of optimum sales territories
  • Optimize go-to-market process design and implementation and find underutilized and still untapped market opportunities
  • Expand the analytical infrastructure with scalable reports and tools
  • Work cross-functionally to establish reporting standards and refine forecasting process to increase accuracy

Requirements:

  • BA/BS with a strong academic record; MBA preferred
  • Expert financial modeling and Excel skills; experience using databases for analysis is a plus
  • At least two years experience in a similar position within a technology company
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, turn information into effective strategies and drive results

Enterprise Sales Representative

(Northeast: NY/NJ Metro Area or Boston, MA)
(Midwest: Chicago, IL or Dallas/Austin, TX)

Mindjet (www.mindjet.com) is currently looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Representative to be responsible for developing, negotiating, and implementing business contracts and sales with Fortune 500 companies (10,000+ employees) in the Northeast or the Midwest. The focus will be built around identifying market niches and increasing market penetration.

The Enterprise Sales Representative will be fully responsible for generating revenue and achieving set quotas. The individual will contribute to Mindjet's overall corporate sales strategy, define and implement plan for assigned region to achieve Mindjet's regional growth objectives.

Candidates will be primarily responsible for leading all customer initiatives regarding new business opportunities, new technology directions and application development. They will coordinate the overall sales and commercial activities for the assigned territory. This will include new and existing business, pricing, delivery and continuous improvement activities.

These are several possible locations: One role is for the for the Northeast: preference is for the NY/NJ Metro Area or Boston. Another role is for the Midwest: preference is Chicago and/or the Dallas/Austin areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategy within assigned territory.
  • Lead strategic planning for new business development that includes leveraging industry contacts for new market niches.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating market requirements and trends.
  • Develop action plans, measure and analyze results then initiate corrective actions.
  • Estimate demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends.

  • Consistent overachievement of revenue goals and plus 100% of quota.
  • Proven ability to sell large deals and to meet or exceed multi-million dollar quotas.
  • Proven record of success in a high volume transaction sales environment.
  • Must be able to thrive in a very fast paced environment.
  • Proven solution selling skills, including the ability to articulate a clear, concise ROI value statement.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills, both written and verbal.
  • Goal oriented and self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Strategic account planning and execution experience and abilities.
  • Able to work independently, but within a team environment.
  • For the Northeast role, preference is NY/NJ Metro Area or Boston.
