BT identifies time savings for knowledge workers
Mindjet's business mapping software improves productivity for global communications leaderLondon/UK - April 30, 2008 - Mindjet UK today announced that BT Global Services has adopted MindManager Pro within the BT Design and BT Operate business units, enabling teams to work more effectively, save time and increase productivity.
As one of the most recognised names in the communications sector, BT's continued innovation of its service offerings and business processes has helped keep it at the forefront of this fast-moving industry. Mindjet worked with BT to identify areas where knowledge workers could save time in their daily tasks, particularly in the effectiveness of meetings; collaboration; information management and analysis; and project and task management. Mindjet created special business templates and processes in MindManager Pro to meet the specific needs of BT's teams.
MindManager Pro has enabled BT knowledge workers to create readily understood and highly interactive visual representations of complex ideas and data. Results from a recent internal study showed that MindManager is saving BT users an average of three hours per week.
"The MindManager software introduces a fundamental shift in the way you can work and approach tasks," said Mike Stone, president of service design, BT Global Services. "It has proved to be an invaluable tool, enabling BT teams to communicate better and work more effectively. Working like a "blueprint" for managing projects, it has helped us to streamline processes and improve brainstorming and collaboration."
BT employs MindManager Pro for everything from strategic thinking, brainstorming, project planning and bid management to meeting management, account management and report writing. Many team members extensively use the ability to integrate with Microsoft Office documents and programmes, including Outlook and Excel. BT workers employ MindManager presentation mode to provide effective visual backdrops, and the ability to link multiple documents in one central location has reduced administrative workload and provided an ideal platform for education and training.
"We are very pleased with the success of the MindManager Pro deployment at BT Global Services," said Scott Raskin, CEO of Mindjet. "BT provides a great example of the collaboration, time savings, and productivity that can occur within large organizations when they adopt MindManager."
