Mindjet Connect SP enhances Microsoft SharePoint, by giving your SharePoint users the ability to access content, manage tasks, and work together more effectively on shared work—all through an intuitive framework .

After installing Mindjet Connect SP in the SharePoint environment, create navigational maps and embed them as a web part on your SharePoint site. This helps SharePoint users find information easier and faster.

This example shows the use of an embedded map to find the U.S. Expense Report form on the Mindjet SharePoint site. The expense report hyperlink opens the report in Microsoft Excel. If web-apps is installed, the document will open in a new tab in the browser.

Use the standard SharePoint administrative tools, such as Check In/Check Out, Alerts, and Permissions, to manage access to maps stored on your SharePoint site. There are three new right-click menus that allow map viewing and editing in the browser-based mapping client.

When creating a map, add information from tasks stored in your site onto a “task dashboard”. The “Search Tasks” feature allows multiple-site searches using specialized criteria, such as: “all tasks assigned to me that are due next week”.

Create project plans used to communicate a planed set of actions, both to management teams and groups within the company involved in the project. Once a plan gains approval, use the map to track implementation and as a repository of key information.
