If you would like to search both Branches and Text Notes:

1. Save the file
2. Make sure that the Text Notes window is visible
3. Move your curser outside of the text window (e.g. click on a branch)
4. Go to Edit -- Find and Replace (or press F3) and input your criteria

If you would like to search only the highlighted Text Note:

1. Save the file
2. Move your curser inside of the Text Notes window
3. Go to Edit -- Find and Replace and input your criteria
4. When the search is complete a window will appear, "MindManager has finished searching the Text Notes"

If you would like to search the MindMap branches but not the Text Notes:

1. Save the file
2. Make sure that the Text Notes window is not visible
3. Go to Edit -- Find and Replace and input your criteria
4. When the search is complete a window will appear, "MindManager has finished searching the Mind Map"

Note: Floating text fields are never searched with Find & Replace.
