Scott Raskin has been Mindjet’s president, chief executive officer, and a member of our board of directors since 2006. Scott is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall strategic direction, planning, and execution of top-level initiatives. He is a dynamic leader with over two decades of experience building high-growth, profitable technology companies, and he continues to build upon his record of success at Mindjet.
Raskin’s strategic vision has helped evolve Mindjet from a mind mapping and brainstorming software company to the leading provider of enterprise cloud software that accelerates and drives open innovation through the visualization and crowdsourcing of ideas.
Scott joined Mindjet after five years at Telelogic, where he served as president and chief operating officer. At Telelogic, Scott guided the company through several strategic acquisitions and extensive organic growth, building a team of more than 1,100 employees in 22 countries. His efforts culminated when International Business Machines (IBM) acquired Telelogic for $845 million. Scott currently sits on the board of Cision AB (CSN: Stockholm), the leading provider of cloud software, services, and tools for the public relations and marketing industries.
Scott is the current president of the San Francisco Bay Chapter of World Presidents’ Organization, and is a past president of the San Francisco Bay Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a peer network of 17,000 company presidents and CEOs that spans across 100 countries.
Scott graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Over the last 25 years, Steve Anderson has helped drive the growth of many tech companies through rapid domestic and international expansion, strategic fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions. He brings with him a successful track record in the financial management of venture-backed and publicly traded technology companies to oversee Mindjet’s worldwide finance and administrative operations.
Prior to joining Mindjet, Anderson served as the CFO at Clairmail, Inc., a venture-backed provider of mobile banking solutions, before leading its sale to Monitise, PLC. Previously, Anderson was CFO of Good Technology, Trigo Technologies, Capstan Systems, and Navis, LLC, and also held executive positions at Metricom, Inc. He began his career at Arthur Andersen where he spent eight years working with a wide variety of public and private companies.
Anderson graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Amy Millard is an accomplished marketing executive with a proven track record of implementing marketing and business strategies for SaaS software companies. Millard leads all strategic and operational aspects of marketing for Mindjet’s diverse global market, building on her 20 years of experience in software marketing and her commitment to the potential of continuous innovation.
Prior to joining Mindjet, Millard was the VP of Marketing at Support.com (NASDAQ: SPRT), a provider of cloud-based software and services for technology support. There she led corporate marketing, product marketing, and demand generation. Previously, she was VP of marketing at Hearsay Social, a provider of cloud enterprise social media software for sales and marketing. Amy also managed worldwide marketing and demand generation for MarketTools, a provider of cloud software and services for customer experience and market research.
Amy earned her B.S. in electrical engineering from Rice University and her MBA from Stanford University.
Todd Clyde came to Mindjet as a seasoned leader in the B2B enterprise software space. He is known for his ability to define and articulate market strategy then motivate teams to embrace it. Clyde has always been a passionate advocate for his customers who is driven by their realization of value and overall success.
At Mindjet, Clyde leads product, sales, marketing, professional services, and customer service and success for MindManager. He joins us from Monitise (Clairmail), a provider of enterprise software for mobile banking and payments, where he was EVP of sales & marketing and general manager. Prior to that, Clyde ran sales for two software companies focused on master data management and human capital management respectively. He also served at Accenture for 12 years as part of the industrial products and high tech practices.
Clyde holds a bachelor’s degree in management science from University of California, San Diego.
As a thought leader and innovation practitioner, James Gardner has led innovation teams and programs in multiple industries, continents, and cultural settings.
Prior to joining Mindjet, Gardner was chief technology officer at Spigit, having twice been a Spigit customer—when he was CTO at the UK’s largest public sector organization, and when he was head of innovation and investment at the UK’s largest bank. In 2009, his team was awarded the prestigious UK Financial Services Innovation Award twice for work with crowd-based innovation, and in 2010, he was nominated the most social media-connected financial services executive in Britain.
Gardner is also an accomplished author. He has written three top-selling innovation books, including his 2012 release “Sidestep and Twist”, a controversial reimagining of the way innovation efforts should be constructed to create value. His prior books, “Innovation and the Future Proof Bank” (2009) and “Little Innovation Book” (2010) have been sold in more than 40 countries.
Following a master’s degree in information science, he was awarded his doctorate in innovation management in Australia.
A seasoned business development executive and M&A specialist, Valerie Burman draws upon her impressive experience as she expands Mindjet’s strategic relationships and business partnerships to accelerate growth.
Previously, Burman was vice president of technology partner management at SAP where she managed a portfolio of key partnerships that drove significant co-innovation and revenue for the company. Previous roles at SAP included vice president of business development and vice president of business user strategy. At Business Objects (acquired by SAP in 2007), Burman led strategic corporate development initiatives and spearheaded corporate third-party licensing.
Before SAP, Burman spent eight years at Lehman Brothers with increasing responsibility, culminating in her role as senior vice president of technology mergers and acquisitions. During her tenure at Lehman Brothers, Burman led a wide range of transactions including debt and equity capital raising, acquisitions, and divestures.
Following her Bachelor of Arts from University California, Berkeley, she earned her Juris Doctor at Stanford Law School.
