Patrick Nichols

Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Nichols serves as Corel’s CEO and joined the company in 2009. Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, Patrick held the role of President of WinZip and General Manager of Corel, Roxio, Pinnacle and ReviverSoft, leading the transformation of Corel’s acquired brands and setting the strategic direction of the company’s product lines. Patrick has played a key role in Corel’s success, serving on the management team responsible for nearly tripling the company’s operating income over the last three years.


Prior to joining Corel, Patrick served as a General Manager within the Trilogy/Versata family of companies where he was responsible for new acquisitions and business ownership of a portfolio of Versata companies. Before joining Trilogy/Versata, Patrick worked as a product manager and technical consultant at Microsoft, and served as a researcher for the Department of Defense and Department of Energy through the Cornell Engineering and Theory Center. He holds a BS from Cornell University.

Chris DeBiase

Chief Financial Officer

Chris DeBiase is Corel’s Chief Financial Officer and has become an invaluable part of the executive team as he leads the company’s Finance, M&A and Human Resources departments.


Chris has a BA in Economics from Brown University, and prior to joining Corel in March of 2010, served as the Vice President of Business Development for Ingres Corporation, where he was instrumental in managing a variety of M&A, Business Development and Finance functions. Chris also spent a number of years in the financial trenches of Wall Street where he served as Vice President Equity Research at both Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.

Grace Pura

General Counsel

Grace Pura is Corel’s General Counsel and has been an integral member of the Corel management team for the past two years. Leading the company’s legal function globally, Grace has been instrumental in the successful completion of Corel’s M&A transactions.


Prior to joining Corel, Grace served as Associate General Counsel for Joyent, Inc. Previously, she served as corporate counsel to Ingres, Fortinet and Silicon Valley Bank on a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic contract negotiations, litigation management and employment disputes. Grace also provided business development and fund raising support to Zero2IPO, a China-based company focusing on providing financial services to start-up companies in China. She started out her legal career as litigation associate with Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley. Grace achieved her law degree at the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law.

Jussi Arovaara

Vice President of Global Sales

Jussi Arovaara has served as a member of Corel’s senior executive team since 2011. In his earlier career with Corel, Jussi gained experience in a wide variety of roles, including senior management positions within Sales, Operations and Marketing, including Regional Manager for Nordic Region, Director of Business Development and Vice President of EMEA Sales. In his current role as Corel’s Vice President of Global Sales, Jussi is responsible for defining global sales strategies, and driving the company’s global channel and OEM sales across business units. He also oversees Corel’s Field Marketing and Operations in Corel’s global regions.


Prior to joining Corel, Jussi worked in IT distribution as a business unit leader covering the Nordic Region, Baltic Region and Russia. A Finnish native with over 20 years’ experience in the technology sector, Jussi brings a wealth of international experience to his role having lived and worked in Finland, Canada and the UK. Jussi is also a member of the board of F-Secure Corporation and its audit committee. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors and during his time at Corel has served as a member of Business Software Alliance, EMEA Committee. On the rare occasions when Jussi isn’t working, he can often be found sailing or skiing, with his trusty GoPro camera always close at hand.

Monika Leissle

Vice President of Human Resources

Monika Leissle serves as VP of Human Resources for Corel. In this role, she is responsible for Corel’s global HR operations working with employees in North America, Asia and Europe. Monika joined Corel in 2010 and previously held the positions of HR Director for EMEA & APAC and HR Manager, EMEA.


Prior to joining Corel, Monika served as Head of Human Resources at Aston Carter in the UK. She graduated from the University of West London.

Prasannaa Ganesan

Vice President of Operations

Prasannaa Ganesan is VP of Operations, responsible for business operations at Corel including customer support and manufacturing. Prasannaa joined the company as Director of Operations for WinZip in 2010. Respected for his strong sense of fiscal responsibility, he played a key role in dramatically increasing profitability within the WinZip business and subsequently for Corel’s Roxio, Pinnacle and Digital Media product groups.


Prior to joining Corel, Prasannaa served as Program and Delivery Director at Versata and Trilogy. Prasannaa pursued his Masters of Science in Electrical engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University following a Bachelor of Engineering from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy. An engineer at heart, Prasannaa has a passion for automation and gadgets.

Rob Charlebois

Vice President of Global eCommerce

Rob Charlebois is Corel’s VP of Global eCommerce, responsible for the company’s global online sales and marketing strategies across all its product lines, including Corel, WinZip, Roxio, Pinnacle and ReviverSoft. During his 10 year tenure, Rob’s impressive track record includes building Corel’s direct ecommerce model which now accounts for more than 40% of the company’s total revenue. Rob has served as Sr. Director of eCommerce for WinZip as well as Director of eCommerce for Corel.


Prior to joining Corel, Rob has held various strategic marketing positions at companies including Buystream, N-able Technologies and Nexinnovations. He holds a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Ottawa and a Diploma in Architecture from Algonquin College.
